DEPOSIT AND CREDIT CARD INFORMATION:
ACCEPTED American Express, Diners Club, Discover Card, Japanese Credit Bureau Credit Card, MasterCard (not prepaid), Visa (not prepaid). Debit card not accepted unless otherwise stated below. A deposit amount of USD 200.0 will be held against your credit card for the duration of the rental. Your deposit is a guarantee held in the event of damage/theft of the vehicle. This will be released if there is no theft or damage during the rental period. Please note that this does not represent your total excess liability which can be found in the Damage Waiver Liability section. Credit card(s) must be valid for up to 6 months after the rental has ended. NOT ACCEPTED: No other payment types will be accepted. A valid credit card in the first name and surname (no abbreviations) of the lead driver must be presented at the rental desk in order to pre-authorise/charge a deposit. The credit card(s) must be embossed and a PIN number may be required. In the event that you fail to present a valid credit card, there is a lack of sufficient funds available on the credit card or the credit card is not in the lead driver's name, the car rental agent may refuse to release the vehicle. In these instances, no funds paid will be reimbursed.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to hire a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Note travel restrictions are applicable. Penalities will occur if prior consent is not issued by the supplier before travel or if travel is not permitted. Should you wish to obtain more information, please contact your supplier directly.
The rental vehicle may only be used in the state of pick-up and the surrounding geographical area (Region) as specified below:
-Vehicles rented in Nevada cannot travel to New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. All rentals must be returned to the originating rental location unless authorized, in advance, as evidenced in writing on the rental agreement. Vehicles returning to an unauthorized location will be subject to a drop charge equal to USD $0.75 per mile driven or USD $300, whichever is greater, and a rental rate surcharge. Any unauthorized drop fee should not exceed USD $1500 regardless of mileage.
-Vehicles rented in Pennsylvania can only be driven within the following states: Connecticut, District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and West Virginia. Travel into Canada not permitted.
-Vehicles rented in Texas can only be driven within the state of Texas.
-Vehicles rented in Utah cannot travel to New York, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. All rentals must be returned to the originating rental location unless authorized, in advance, as evidenced in writing on the rental agreement. Vehicles returning to an unauthorized location will be subject to a drop charge equal to USD $0.75 per mile driven or USD $300, whichever is greater, and a rental rate surcharge. Any unauthorized drop fee should not exceed USD $1500 regardless of mileage.
-Vehicles rented in Washington can only be driven within the states of Washington and Oregon and in the province of British Columbia. Travel to Canada is not permitted.
Avis vehicles are not allowed into Mexico.
If travelling to Miami port: The Avis shuttle will meet passengers at the pier. If not, call the location for pick-up service. The Avis office is located in downtown Miami, vehicles will need to be returned to (M6I) the downtown office. The Avis shuttle will take passengers back to the pier.
